Wake by Lisa McMann (Part 2)

Janie continues to work hard and save up money for her dream college tuition (University of Michigan) and her car in a nursing home. There, she always works and subs in for the people who need someone to work for them. She ends up saving up enough money to buy one of Stu's cars. Before I go on, let me tell you who Stu is. Stu is Carrie's boyfriend who works at a body shop. Did I mention that he was twenty-two and Carrie was sixteen? Mhm... gross, I tell you. It's like me, a seventeen year old, dating an eleven year old...



Aside from this madness, Janie talks to this guy named Cabel Strumheller, whom at the time had black-blue, greasy hair that hung in front of his eyes. Carrie would always tease her about him being her boyfriend but Janie would always tell her to "Be nice" and not to be mean like Melinda.

Janie goes through more dreams, works more, and goes through more drama here and there until senior year started.

As Janie was driving to school, she spotted Cabel Strumheller but a different Cabel Strumheller, I tell you. It was at a point where Janie couldn't even recognize this fella. During their Senior year of high school, Cabel is the new hottie at school while Janie is....well, the same. Janie tries to avoid the fact to be sucked into people's dreams, but she couldn't get out of it as much as she tried to. There was at one point where she decided to go to a volunteer sleep study, sponsored by the University of Michigan, for people who had trouble sleeping or had nightmares. That backfired when she ended up being sucked into her teacher's dream that happend to be there. She ended up just keeping her dream-sucking ability to herself and decided to move on...
