Cabel and Janie started to spend a bit more time with each other; especially since they found out that they had the same classes all throughout the school day. When she was at the library, she tried really hard not to sit close by the people who tend to fall asleep easily. It was an epic f-a-i-l and she knocked out.
This was a scary dream. A dream that reminded me of the scary movie series with Freddy. Weirdly enough, Freddy is the nightmare of all dreams.
In the book, it describes the nightmare as follows:
"From around the corner comes a hulking, monstrous figure, outlined by the moonlight. It thrashes its arms through the bushes and lifts its hands in the sky, letting out a horrible yell... The figure's long fingers glint in the moonlight. Janie leans back against the barn. She is shaking. The grotesque figure sharpens his knife-fingers on each other. The sound is deafening..."
But wait.
"The figure's face is furious furious, but he has stopped sharpening his knives. She is still behind the barn. He's five feet away, and Janie closes her eyes......And the horrid, menacing figure has turned into a normal, human young man. It's Cabel Strumheller."
Ongoing with the dream, he came towards her, leaned in and kissed her with tears falling down his cheeks. "Help me" were the last words he told her until Janie woke up from this dream.
This left Janie to feel very awkward between her and Cabel and decided to avoid him. That didn't turn out too well after
A lot more drama went on throughout the book and Cabel ended up telling what the meaning of his dreams were. So what was that? Well.... you should go read the book because I'm not going to spoil it for you!
